Welcome. Here are some links to the most "presentable" renderings I've done in 3ds max. I used max a lot at school, but very little of that work was focused on rendering (there is one sample below).

I will be happy to provide references for the Hotel Interiors project and the Manhattan Street Signage project. Please contact me by email at the address listed at the top of the page.

Hotel Interiors

I did these in collaboration with Daniel Yao. I was the lead modeler and renderer on the project. It was for a proposal for a hotel interior in the Middle East. I mostly worked from fabric and material samples provided by the client. This was in 3ds max 6, using radiosity. All the modeling is from scratch. (Warning: these files are about 2MB each)

Studio Project for addition to UNAM, Mexico City

This is from one of my Masters' studios at Columbia University's GSAPP. Here I used mental ray in max 6, then Photoshop. All the modeling is from scratch. (Warning: this file is about 2MB)

Manhattan Street Signage

These are my most recent work, produced for a client on a very tight schedule. They were intended as sketches to be used to propose signage for a major New York real estate proposal. I had to produce about 30 renders from different angles, of different schemes, etc., with very few rendering resources at my disposal (i.e. had to optimize for speed). The initial model of the historical building was given to me, but I altered and improved it substantially, in order to provide just the level of detail necessary for the signage designers to relate to (e.g. differentiation between stone exterior and metal trim, accentuation of cornice shadow lines, etc.). I rendered these using mental ray in max 6. (Files are about 500 K each)
